RMIT Project - Lucky Coin
I was asked to design a product for RMIT Campus Store with these requirements:
- Public design for Campus store:
+ To be given away at events (Open day, Graduation day,...)
+ To be sold in the RMIT campus store
+ To be donated at sport events
- Affordable
- Use RMIT branding
- Less waste
- Using recyclable materials

After researching, I designed a lucky coin that was custom from 50 cents coin or 20 cents coin, with the coat of arms of Australia on the top. It has the shape of Number 8 (lucky number in Asian culture) and 2 RMIT logo holes. Its main functions: congratulations graduated student, welcome new student or also be a lucky souvenir for RMIT members.
Ideal material for my design is stainless steel:
- Bright/reflective
- Surface does not face, smudge or rust
- Durable and can be moudled into a variety of the shapes
